Alternate-universe Ki: What did you mean by "stuck?"
Nick: Just that. I've hit a brick wall. I can't explain it...
Nick: Functionally, this thing is identical to my Velociraptor back home. But every time I try to power it up, it doesn't seem to do anything but spit out sparks and smoke.
Alternate-universe Ki: Perhaps there's something you've overlooked.
Nick: That's what I thought. But I've spent the past two hours going over everything. It's all correct.
Alternate-universe Ki: Out of curiosity, did you try reversing the polarity somewhere?
Nick: You saw that irony too. Yep, and all that happened was that the smoke switched from green to red.
