GPF on hiatus until January 5, 2009; Sketchbook reruns througout December

A quick note: This story and the one that follows were written for and were intended to run during the holiday season that just ended. However, our little holiday hiatus threw things off a bit and since these two stories have some significance, I didn't want to skip them altogether. So it looks like the holidays will be lasting a little longer here at GPF, at least until these two stories finish. Please keep this context in mind as you read them.
