[Respire, Mon Ami]

The animation festival was definitely a highlight of the entire conference. From big-budget studios to small one-man student films, there were tons of examples of the best in computer graphics, ranging from cartoons to commercials to scientific virtualizations. One of my favorites was Respire, Mon Ami, the senior thesis of Chris Nabholz from Ringling School of Art and Design. This morbid little short had just the right mix of beautiful modeling, fluid animation, wit, and storytelling. Click the link to go to the official site and watch the film online.
