[[Trish continues her narration of events after meeting Ki (for the second time...). She's looking through a folder that Ki has brought to her in her hospital bed.]]
Trish: [narrating] "I don't know where and how she got it (she said she had a 'friend with connections'), but she gave me a folder that filed in many of the gaps in my past."

[[Trish remembers herself as a young child, chasing a butterfly; herself carrying a stack of college textbooks; herself startled by a shadowy figure holding an oddly-shaped silenced pistol.]]
Trish: [narrating] "Some memories came back quickly, like events from my childhood and memories of college. More recent things were foggy, however... especially leading up to 'the accident'."

[[Trish remembers sitting in front of Ki, who is gesturing as she talks.]]
Trish: [narrating] "She TRIED explaining what happened to me, but it was just as bizarre as the story Doctor Aki gave. Something about parallel universes and evil duplicates..."

[[Trish has fainted in her chair, draped over the backrest, while Ki rushes toward her with a panicked look.]]
Trish: [narrating] "So an alternate me shot me with a sci-fi gun and left me in a dumpster so my body would rapidly decompose, while she took my place to try and steal Ki's fiance's technology. I think that's about when I passed out."
