[[Fooker continues his narration of his father's life, describing it to Sharon as the two sit on the floor of GPF's server room. We see a young Lionel Barker in a firefight, coordinating a retreat.]]
Fooker: His tour in Cambodia didn't last long. While coordinating an evacuation, his platoon was ambushed. Of 42 men, only 12 escaped, mostly due to Dad's quick thinking.
[[We see Lionel Barker not long after that evacuation, wearing a bandage on his head and standing at attention while an officer pins a medal on his chest. His wife looks on proudly.]]
Fooker: Wounded in the firefight, Dad was sent home with commendations and a purple heart. He was laid up for quit a while, but with therapy he eventually made a full recovery.
[[We see a now-healed and smiling Lionel Barker, looking over a hospital bed where his wife holds a newborn son. The newborn's hair bears a strong resemblance to Fooker's.]]
Fooker: Not that THAT stopped Mom from welcoming him home. Despite all those bandages, he got his second welcome-home gift nine months later...
[[Back in the server room, Sharon is looking at Fooker happily.]]
Sharon: I think this is my favorite part of this story...
Fooker: [smirking slightly] The high-water mark, trust me. It's all downhill from here.
