[Comic for Friday, April 26, 2013]

[[Trudy and Nega-Nick (masquerading as "our" Nick) have left Goodman Rubber and in their car. Trudy is driving, and while she drives she continues to talk (probably about Mr. Jones' retirement, but since this strip consists entirely of conversations between Nega-Nick and his alien, we don't know that for sure). Nega-Nick's alien is responding to his statement referencing Trudy in "his" universe.]]
Alien: Wait... "OUR universe?" You believe she is from your alternate reality as well?
Nega-Nick: [thinking] Not believe: I KNOW. And everyone in the office can confirm it.

Nega-Nick: [thinking] THAT'S why I have a vendetta against her. My old enemy, hiding here in plain sight, trying to restart her life. It GALLS me that she's been so successful at it, while I've had to scrounge a living until recently.

Alien: She is dangerous to us on many levels, then. If she recognizes who and what you are, if she remembers the events at Lakatos... We may be forced to eliminate her...
Nega-Nick: [thinking] I still think she's more useful to us alive than dead.

Alien: She's more useful to YOU alive because necrophilia is illegal.
Nega-Nick: [thinking, but actually scowling in response] How about not one but TWO humans who fought your kind in an alternate reality? I'll bet THAT justifies interrogating her.

References: The Trudy swap: The pin, the switch, "Alt-Trudy" stays behind, our Trudy gets a new life. Note that while both Fooker and Ki know our Trudy isn't "Alt-Trudy", nobody else knows. "Nega-Nick" has not been told "on camera" but would likely have figured out about the swap from everyone else's conversations. However, apparently neither Fooker nor Ki have told him the truth.
