[[Trudy and Sharon continue their conversation after leaving the tuxedo shop. They've left the mall and are getting into Sharon's car.]]
Trudy: Tell me more about Fooker's father.
Sharon: Well, there's not much more to tell.
Sharon: [fastening her seat belt] He was a distinguished officer, served in Vietnam and some other big engagements, purple heart, U.G.A., etc. A real American hero.
Sharon: But he and his wife drifted apart. When she died, he vanished. Neither Fooker nor his brother have heard from him in years.
Trudy: [concentrating] It would be an awfully big coincidence for him to show up out of nowhere after all this time...
Sharon: Sometimes it feels like our lives are nothing BUT coincidences...
