[[Fred and Socrates continue their discussion in the small room where Fred is trying to isolate himself from the rest of the Physarics]]
Socrates: You ... think I'd try to CONTROL you? I would NEVER do that! I'm not sure that's POSSIBLE!
Fred: It's easy enough for you to control everyone else!
Socrates: It's simple to control less evolved species. To control another of our own kind ... would take a HUGE mismatch of wills...
Fred: Like an inexperienced newbie with no memories against a seasoned old pro...
Fred: Or better yet, let's throw the new guy into the giant brain pool of thousands of minds, where he'd never stand a chance! We'll brainwash the individuality right out of him!
Socrates: I ... hadn't thought of it that way. If you want, I can go first to prove that it's safe.
Fred: I'd rather you didn't. You'll prove nothing, AND you'll give them the cure that they want.
