[[Patty continues her account of her bachelorette party and how it led to her falling out with Mike. Her friend Alexis has just prodded her until she finally confessed to some of his faults.]]
Patty: Satisfied that she had made me think before I leapt, Alex switched topics and the rest of the evening was more fun and games. I, however, never let go of that thought.
[[We see the four women still at their booth in the bar. Alexis, Ji-hyun, and Jessica are all laughing and having a good time, but Patty seems miserable and distracted.]]
Patty: I remained distracted well into the morning, thinking about Mark, his prankster nature, and his growing Linux fanaticism. The more I dwelt on it, the angrier I became.
[[The women leave the bar and part ways. Alexis and Ji-hyun walk off into the background, while Jessica escorts Patty the opposite direction. Patty remains distracted.]]
Patty: It was an irrational, frustrated anger. He never did anything to ME, so it didn't make sense. It didn't make me love him less, but I DID feel frustrated by the hypocrisy of it all.
[[Jessica walks Patty to her door. As Patty enters, Jessica waves goodbye. She can tell that Patty isn't all there, and the concern shows on her face.]]
Patty: Maybe it was the lack of sleep; I had been up way too late by that point, so I know I wasn't thinking clearly. But for some reason, I felt I HAD to do something about it.
[[Patty closes the door behind her and leans against it in the dark. Her eyes narrow and a look of grim determination crosses her face.]]
