[[D.C. Smythe and Valerie Smith are explaining how they came to find themselves aboard the Grey ship with the GPF crew. In an apparent flashback, we see Smythe and Smith with an anthropomorphic mole in a lab coat and tie, smiling and gesturing as if in conversation with them. Behind him is another anthropomorphic character with his back turned to them, examining some piece of equipment.]]
Smythe: Professor Thaddeus Mole is an associate of ours, a scientific consultant for I.G.N.I.T.E. He recently met an acquaintance who had stumbled upon an interesting discovery.

[[As Smythe continues his narration, we see Professor Mole introducing the individual behind him, who is now facing the reader. It is a Corgi dog that looks suspiciously like Nick.]]
Smythe: He was an American Corgi computer scientist and polymath. He seemed only vaguely familiar until Prof. Mole mentioned his name: Nicholas Wellington.

[[Our scene shifts back to the present, where Smith interjects.]]
Smith: Prof. Mole was just about to explain Mr. Wellington's discovery when he was distracted by a phone call. He left the room and we went to follow him, then wound up here.

[[Our view shifts to Fooker, Sharon, and Ki, the latter two barely containing stifled laughter.]]
Fooker: [Annoyed] What are you two snickering about?
Sharon: [Grinning] I keep imagining Nick as a Corgi!
Ki: [Covering her mouth, barely containing her laughter] I'll bet he looks adorable!
[[Smith returns a knowing, understanding smile.]]
