Scuzzy Bus
In Sharon's dream world of Harry Barker, the Scuzzy Bus is tall triple-decker bus similar to the famous double-decker buses found in London, England. The Scuzzy Bus serves as "emergency transport for hackers in need" and can be hailed by any hacker stranded without other forms of transportation. Exactly how the bus is called has not been revealed, but it always seems to arrive just when it's needed. The bus usually has two employees operating it; the first is the driver, Eric, while the second is its conductor, the Pimply Faced Youth.
Harry inadvertently hails the Scuzzy Bus after running away from home during the opening scenes of "Harry Barker and the Prisoner of Angband". The bus transports Harry to The Blinky Console, and it is during this trip that Harry first learns about the escape of the infamous murderer, "Serious" Nick.
The Scuzzy Bus is the analog of the Knight Bus from Harry Potter. It is named after the Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) standard for connecting computer hardware. ("SCSI" is commonly pronounced as "scuzzy".) The driver of the bus is only mentioned, but is meant to be the analog of Ernie Prang, the Knight Bus driver. He is named after the "Eric Conspiracy". The Knight Bus conductor Stan Shunpike is represented by the "Pimply Faced Youth", a recurring character in Simon Travaglia's Bastard Operator from Hell series.
