Springfield

Springfield is a nearby city within a few hours' drive of the city where GPF Software is located. Its exact size and location relative to GPF's home city are unknown, although it is presumed to be somewhat larger as major events (like the Sci-Fi Con) tend to arrive in Springfield first. Professor Wisebottom's lab has a branch in Springfield and a tire dealership that is a GPF customer is also located there.

As evidenced by the Wikipedia entry on Springfield, the name for the fictional GPF location was chosen for the same reasons it was chosen for The Simpsons: Springfield is a common city name across the United States, making the exact location of GPF Software's home town nebulous.
